A popular pub in Swindon has unexpectedly closed, leaving punters surprised and confused.
The Dockle Farmhouse on Bridge End Road, which is part of the Wetherspoons chain, was discovered to be closed by locals who tried to go there on Friday.
A sign on the door warns that something unexpected has forced the closure, and there appears to be no current planned reopening date.
It says: "Due to unforeseen circumstances this pub will be closed until further notice. We apologise for the inconvenience."
While the cause of the closure currently remains unknown, people have taken to social media to try and find out what is going on.
One member of the public wrote: "What's happened at the Dockle Farm, just been asked to leave and closed until further notice?"
It has also been suggested that the Dockle would reopen as normal on Monday.
But this would mean that the pub will not be up and running for what is sure to be one of the busiest days of the year when England takes on Spain in the final of the Euro 2024.
Wetherspoons has been approached for comment.
