Single people in the area are being encouraged to take part in one of television's most popular dating programmes. 

E4's Married At First Sight UK is currently casting for the next series and is looking for people around Swindon and Wiltshire. 

CPL Productions, which is responsible for the show, wants to remind people that applications are now open. 

 A spokesperson said: "Our incredible experts are ready to play cupid and match singles from all over the UK. With every episode watched by millions, the last series of Married at First Sight was the biggest on E4 and the second most streamed show in the UK during its run last autumn.

Married at First Sight UK is a bold social experiment where single people, matched by experts, marry total strangers, who they meet for the very first time on their wedding day.

After meeting one other at the altar, the newlyweds will go on a luxury honeymoon, before moving in together, alongside the other couples within the experiment.

Each week the couples will be put through challenges, carefully designed by the experts, to help strengthen and expedite their relationship until they eventually have to decide if they will stay together.
