Four men suspected of being involved in a fight at an Old Town pub after England’s Euros semi-final victory will soon appear in court.
Police have charged 22-year-old Myles Fisher and 18-year-old Max Fisher from Buckerfields in Ogbourne St George along with 19-year-old Devonte O’Brien - of Hanbury Road in Park South - and 18-year-old Zac Stride - of Middleton Close in Walcot - with affray.
They have been remanded into custody ahead of a hearing at Swindon Magistrates Court which is due to be held on August 9.
Officers also arrested four other men, all aged in their 20s, on suspicion of violent disorder and assault, then later released them on bail while the investigation continues.
Wiltshire Police are appealing l for witnesses and information about the incident after responding to calls from inside the Steam Railway Pub on Newport Street at around 10.25pm on Wednesday, July 10.
There were hundreds of people in the area at the time of the alleged disorder.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “If you witnessed the incident or have any phone footage, please get in touch on 101 quoting reference 54240081066.”
