A stolen car was recovered in Swindon after the Wiltshire Police responded to a burglary.
The raid, which happened in Abbeymeads, was first reported to officers at 3.30am on Wednesday, July 17.
The force deployed its road policing unit to search the area for a vehicle stolen during the burglary.
Just 26 minutes later, at 3.56am, officers found a white car which matched the description and numberplate of the stolen vehicle, parked up and locked just over a mile away in Penhill.
The stolen car was completely unattended when it was found, and police have been unable to identify who committed the burglary.
"Enquiries are ongoing to locate the suspect," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
"The vehicle has been recovered."
