A major food festival is coming to Lydiard Park for the first time.
The West Swindon public space will be filled with stalls and bars serving up a vast array of food and drink from 10am to 5pm on August 10 and 11.
Visitors can expect to meet local and artisan producers, try vendors' tasty treats, sample various tipples, watch impressive chef demos, take part in competitions, and enjoy live music - with activities to keep children happy, too.
Culinary experts from the area and our TV screens will be showing off their skills for free in the chef demo area, which is near the Challenge Stage, Live Fire Stage, and Music Stage.
Pre-book for places on the kids cookery classes and foraging walks.
Book tickets at www.lydiardpark.org.uk/event/great-british-food-festival - early birds get the best rates as limited ticket numbers are released in each tier, while on-the-door prices will be the most expensive.
A Lydiard Park spokesperson said: "The Great British Food Festival attracts lots of producers showcasing the best in local, seasonal and specialty food and drink, and it’s a great opportunity to get a real taste of the best of Great British produce.
"With Great Britain’s amazing mix of cultures and cuisines, you can try some more exotic elements or the best local burgers and sausages for those with more traditional tastes!
"After you’ve done your foodie shopping, sit and enjoy tasty, hot food and a refreshing drink or two, with great live music in the stunning surroundings.
"The perfect recipe for a fun, foodie day out for the whole family."
Organisers advise that, while most traders accept card payments, guests should also bring cash just in case some stalls don't take credit cards or the card machine signal starts playing up.
The festival tours around the UK, stopping off at areas with stunning heritage sites like the Grade I listed Lydiard House, which has been part of the area for more than 500 years.
A spokesperson said: "We are excited to add Lydiard to our 2024 calendar! Wiltshire, are you ready for foodie fun?"
Chefs booked for the Swindon stop include Marni Xuto, Mark Jefferies, Ren's Kitchen, Radhika, and Thuy Hoang, with performances from Sophie Rose-Emery, Revolver, Max Bowker, Abalicious, and Motown.
Family tickets can be bought for two adults and two children. Child tickets cover those aged five to 17, while under-fives get free entry.
