Police confirmed that a body has been found during the search for a missing man from the Swindon and Marlborough area.
At around 3.45pm on Wednesday, officers carrying out searches in central Aldbourne for 41-year-old Daulat Singh discovered a body in the water of the River Kennet.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “While formal identification has not yet taken place, Daulat’s next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this sad time.
“Although it is early stages, we do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
“Formal identification will take place in due course.”
Mr Singh was reported missing from his place of work in Aldbourne, near Marlborough, on Friday, July 12.
He was last seen at around 1.30pm, and concerns for his welfare grew as the days passed.
As the search entered its sixth day, police issued CCTV images in an appeal to the public for information that could help to locate him.
