Two people have been arrested after a man suffered a “serious head injury” during an alleged assault outside a Swindon pub.
The victim was reportedly struck over the head with an object outside the Liden Arms pub, in the early hours of the morning on Monday, July 15.
He suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police were called after the incident, which took place just after midnight, and two men were subsequently arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent.
One of these suspects has been released on bail while another remains in custody.
Officers are continuing to investigate the alleged attack and have urged any witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault outside the Liden Arms, Swindon, in the early hours of Monday morning.
