Train passengers are being advised to check their journey this afternoon (Thursday) due to cancellations.
National Rail, at 4pm today, posted on social media to say there is a broken down freight train between Swindon and Gloucester, meaning the line towards Gloucester is currently closed.
The 5.15pm and 6.15pm trains from Gloucester to Stroud and Kemble have been cancelled.
Meanwhile the 4.57pm and 5.57pm from Stroud to Gloucester have also just been cancelled.
National Rail advises that disruption is expected until the end of the day so any passengers travelling after 6pm should keep a close eye on the timetable.
