A new food venue has opened hoping to bring the taste of authentic American smoked food to Royal Wootton Bassett.
Entrepreneurs Hannah Airey and her dad Jason Airey recently opened Smokinly Good BBQ in the Wiltshire town, in conjunction with Hannah's other business Chase Your Dreams Parties and Events.
The pair aim to deliver the rich, smoky flavours of Texas barbecue with a unique British twist.
The venture is inspired by a culinary journey through some of America's legendary barbecue spots like Snow's BBQ and Franklin Barbecue in Texas during a recent trip to the United States.
"The experience was transformative," said Jason. "The dedication to the craft and the depth of flavour I encountered were unparalleled. I knew I had to try and bring that experience back home, but with a twist that resonates with our local palate."
The menu at Smokinly Good BBQ is a fusion of American barbecue staples using locally sourced produce and meats.
"Expect to find classics like low and slow-cooked brisket, pulled pork, and smoked ribs, all accompanied by a choice of fresh sides," Jason said.
Hannah added: "We're not just replicating American barbecue. We're blending it with a selection of fresh sides made from locally sourced produce to create something new and exciting.
"It's all about taking the best of both worlds and delivering a dining experience that's both familiar and novel."
Smokinly Good BBQ is currently serving a lunchtime menu from 11am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday and hosting Friday and Saturday eat-ins and takeaways from 6pm till 'gone'.
They will also be providing bouncy castles and soft play on Friday and Saturday evenings at the warehouse in Whitehill Industrial Estate, Royal Wootton Bassett.
There is also a big family fun day event planned to raise money for charity later this month on July 28.
The event will be supporting Shine PND Support a charity that supports mothers dealing with depression, anxiety and isolation with creative therapy sessions across Swindon, Cirencester and Gloucester.
There will be a bouncy castle, a soft play, sensory play and arts and crafts, as well as a visit from JJ's Reptiles.
There is no need to book. The cost via card payment only is £6 per child for unlimited play, with adults free
The coffee shop will be open serving food and drinks, with Smokinly Good BBQ served from 11am.
