There have been long delays on the A419 near Swindon as hundreds of thousands of people make their way to RIAT 2024.
This year’s Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford kicked off on Friday, July 19, and will run for three days, finishing on Sunday, July 22.
Huge crowds have been making their way to the airfield to enjoy around 18 hours of aerial displays set to take place across the weekend.
As a result, there have been large queues of drivers heading towards Fairford on the A419, causing delays on the busy road throughout Saturday morning.

At the time, National Highways warned motorists to expect delays of 45 minutes in both directions on the route near Cricklade, where many are turning off to reach Fairford.
A spokesperson said: “There are delays of at least 45 minutes above normal travel times on the A419 in both directions near Cricklade on the way to Fairford.
“Allow extra journey time. Don’t hog the middle lane and have a safe trip.”
There has also been severe congestion and slow-moving queues on the A417, where drivers have been travelling southbound from the Cirencester direction, and the villages surrounding Fairford, including Kempsford.
