A popular Old Town restaurant is set to reopen in a new location.
Kenzo 72 closed its doors at at Godwin Court in June this year, telling customers that it was the 'end of an era'.
But owners have recently announced that due to 'high demand' the restaurant would be re-opening - albeit not quite as the Kenzo 72 that people knew.
Instead of reopening at Godwin Court, Kenzo will be moving elsewhere in Old Town, taking up residence in 18 Wood Street - currently the home of The Bank cocktail bar.
The venue's well-known steaks will also be returning, but there will also be a shisha lounge and even what is being hyped as 'the finest roast dinner you've ever tasted'.
A spokesperson for Kenzo 72 said: "Due to high demand…We are thrilled to announce that Kenzo 72 will be back very soon with a brand new location, new look and fresh vibes!
"Join us at 18 Wood Street, Swindon SN1 4AB, where you'll indulge in succulent steaks, masterfully crafted cocktails, and a relaxing shisha lounge
"Stay tuned for our grand reopening date and get ready to embark on an unforgettable culinary journey with us,
"Follow us on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok for exclusive updates and sneak peeks!"
The opening date is not quite as much of a mystery as is being made out though, as the Kenzo 72 website says that it will be reopening on Wood Street on August 15. Eager people are already able to make a reservation.
When the original Kenzo 72 closed, a spokesperson said: "Kenzo 72 is closing its doors for a short period of time. We have decided that it’s time for the next chapter.
"We would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the years, this is not goodbye, it’s see you later! We will be back with a fresh new look and some tasty new treats!"
It is not currently known whether Kenzo 72 will be operating in conjunction with The Bank.
Its former base at Godwin Court remains unused.
Kenzo 72's owners have been approached for comment.
