An elderly man was hospitalised with head injuries after being attacked by a group of young people in Swindon.
The 70-year-old was involved in an argument with the group around 9.20pm on July 22 on Greenhill Road, Moredon.
In the altercation on a residential street, the man suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Wiltshire Police are now appealing for witnesses following the incident.
A spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a assault on an elderly man in Greenhill Road, Moredon, on Monday (July 22).
“At around 9.20pm, an altercation occurred between a man in his 70s and a group of young people. The man sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to please get in touch on 101 quoting reference 54240086794.
