A man has been arrested after a woman suffered injuries to her neck and chest.
The woman was assaulted by a man in the Stubsmead area of Eldene on July 10 between 4.15pm and 5.30pm.
The police arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of common assault and he has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Police believe a man tried to intervene and they would like to speak to him. They are appealing for witnesses.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Eldene, Swindon.
“A woman suffered injuries to her neck and chest following an assault by a man in the Stubsmead area on July 10 between 4.15pm and 5.30pm.
“We believe a man tried to intervene and would like to speak to him.
“A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of common assault and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
