A 17-year-old boy from Swindon has appeared in court accused of several child sexual offences.
The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court on July 30.
He stood accused of making over 10,000 indecent photographs of children, 1,660 of which were considered to be in the most serious Category A.
A total of 2,610 of these images were Category B and 8,052 were Category C.
Other charges included possession of a prohibited image of a child, and possessing an indecent photograph of a child.
He also faced charges of inciting a boy under the age of 13 - who was 10 and 11 at the time of the offences in February 2023, to engage in sexual activity, and himself engaging in sexual activity in front of the same child while he was aged 14 and 15.
The accused appeared only to identify himself and will be returning to magistrates court on August 13 to enter a plea.
