Shoppers visiting Swindon's McArthurGlen Designer Outlet have complained about the cash machines being broken for weeks.
There are three cashpoints on the approach to the Rodbourne retail destination's north entrance, but none of them are currently usable.
Two have had 'out of order' signs placed over their screens for much of the last two months while the third was recently removed entirely.
One concerned customer feared that the poor maintenance and sudden removal of the ATMs could be indicative of a wider trend where there is a decreasing amount of areas for people who prefer to pay with cash to withdraw funds from their bank accounts while they are out and about around the town.
He told the Adver: "Given the forcing of digital transactions by the powers that be, it is vital we push back and use cash at all times.
"I strongly oppose any form of digital currency. We need to keep cash machines operational."
A spokesperson for the Designer Outlet said that the cash machines are operated independently, adding that the companies who manage them have been made aware and are in the process of resolving the issues.
By Thursday, one of the two broken cash machines had been repaired.
