Police have launched an investigation after allegations that a man was sexually assaulted in Swindon town centre.

The incident is believed to have taken place during Wednesday evening (July 31) into the early hours of Thursday (August 1).

As part of the investigation, officers have been conducting enquiries at the Power Lounge nightclub, but are now confident that no crime has taken place at the venue and their officers have since left the scene.

Their investigation remains ongoing and they ask anyone with information to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54240089868.
