An investigation has been launched after a girl died at in a village near Swindon this week this week.
South Western Ambulance Service and Thames Valley Police attended a house in Cleyfields, Bourton, on Wednesday, July 31 after receiving a report that a girl was “seriously ill.”
Police have confirmed they are treating the death as unexplained and an investigation is underway.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Thames Valley Police was called to Cleyfields in Bourton on 31 July to a report that a girl was seriously ill.
“The force along with the South Western Ambulance Service attended the scene.
“Sadly, the girl was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“The force is carrying out a number of enquiries as part of an unexplained death investigation.”
South Western Ambulance Service was approached for comment.
