Two businesses have moved into the town centre after a former charity furniture store was converted into smaller retail units.
The building on one side of Havelock Square, near Havelock Street, used to be home to Gateway Furniture, but the charity closed that location in 2022 after the building was sold to new owners.
The building's new owners bucked the trend of turning a town centre building into flats, instead dividing the substantial bottom floor into three individual retail units.
Two of those units have now been filled.
The first, on the far left of the building, which is also known as Brunel House, is Kaka Best, a vape store that was incorporated as a business from that address in February this year.
Advertisements have been added to the window and the shop front depicting dozens of colourful vape-related items.
Next door to Kaka Best is Bal Housewere, offering suitcases, rugs, cookware, bedding and glassware.
It had signs up advertising 50 per cent off as a 'special opening sale'.
Before it was Gateway Furniture's Home, the building used to house a Blacks 'outdoor experts' store.
