The council has confirmed exactly which roads have been repainted as it announces that 22 have been relined near to schools.

The council announced the completion of the repairs on August 7, aimed to help keep young people safe as they enter and leave school using new extra bright paint.

Swindon Borough Council recently announced resurfacing work at nine locations across Swindon over the summer holidays with work already completed at Hook Street, Inverary Road and Ferndale Road as of last week.

Gooch Street was scheduled to be completed this week, with Huntley Close, Markham Close and Dawlish Road coming next.

Councillor Chris Watts, Swindon Borough Council’s cabinet member for the environment and transport, said: “We have a long list of roads which are in need of repair across Swindon and these ones are on our priority list and have been identified by our inspectors as being in really poor condition.
