Restaurants, cafés, pubs and takeaways in Swindon have recently been visited by food hygiene inspectors and the latest ratings have been revealed.
Inspectors rank establishments out of five on the following criteria: hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety.
Rudis Bar & Kitchen at 21 Regent Circus was given a three out of five and rated generally satisfactory in all three areas following a visit from food hygiene inspectors on June 28.
Rays Ice Cream, at 63 Devizes Road in Old Town, and Light Bulb Coffee at 51 Devizes Road were both assessed in June and awarded a four out of five rating.
The Brewers Arms pub at High Street, Wanborough, also scored a four out of five, scoring well on hygienic food handling and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, while the management of food safety was deemed generally satisfactory.
Shalom Kitchen, which serves African and Caribbean food at 74 Cricklade Road, was assessed on July 12 and given a new four out of five hygiene rating, with hygienic food handling rated very good and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety found to be generally satisfactory.

Jesters at the Oppenheimer Centre, Greenbridge Road, and Provenist Ltd café at Orion, Frankland Road in Blagrove, were both rated four out of five.
Moving on to the top-rated cafés, pubs and restaurants, Eurest at Royal Mail House, Rowland Hill Close, Jungle Kingdom on Crompton Road and Kushbo Indian Restaurant at 30 High Street, Highworth, were all rated five out of five on June 25.
Bhaji's Indian Takeaway at 76 Thames Avenue, Haydon Wick, was awarded a five on, along with Costa Coffee at Unit 7, West Swindon Centre and The Carters Rest pub at 58 High Street, Wroughton.
Red Sea East African Restaurant on Cricklade Road had previously been rated a three and even a zero, but earned the highest hygiene rating on June 27.

Meanwhile, Johnny's Grill takeaway at 75 Bridge Street was also awarded a five on July 2, with inspectors ranking the establishment good in all three categories.
Out of Swindon's 270 restaurants, cafes, and canteens with ratings, 84 per cent have ratings of five and none have ratings of zero.
