A water main leak is affecting properties in Swindon and has sparked a 10-day road closure.
On Monday, August 12, the B4289 Cricklade Street in Old Town was closed in both directions to allow Thames Water engineers to work at the scene.
The closure, which caused some delays on Monday morning, is scheduled to be in place until 5pm on August 23.
The route was blocked off using blue barriers between the junctions of Wood Street and Church Road.
Swindon Borough Council has since confirmed that the decision to close the road was taken due to a leaking water main that has been affecting properties in the area.
The official diversion route, which will see drivers take an alternative 2.77km route, has also been confirmed.
A spokesperson for the council said: “Thames Water has closed Cricklade Street this morning (August 12) due to a leak found with a main that is affecting some properties.
“There is a diversion in place using Drove Road, Groundwell Road, Victoria Road, Devizes Road, and Newport Street.”
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
