A 13-year-old boy has been injured during an assault in a Swindon underpass.
The incident took place in the subway beneath Whitehill Way, between Godolphin Close and Windmill Hill Business Park, at around 5.15pm on Tuesday, August 13.
Officers say there was a disorder in which the teenager was injured.
An investigation into the incident has since been launched and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
In particular, officers hope to speak to a female who is believed to have been walking through the underpass at the time and may have offered to call the emergency services.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a 13-year-old boy in the subway underneath Whitehill Way, Swindon, yesterday afternoon.
“It is believed a female was walking past and may have seen the assault and offered to call the police.
