A road closure that has been in place for a number of days is set to continue for at least nine more.
The Electricity Network Company Limited is carrying out utility asset works in the area of Gipsy Lane roundabout since Tuesday, August 13.
The overnight works start from 8pm and run until 6am the following morning, and include a full road closure in both directions.
This means that motorists wanting to go down Gipsy Lane from the roundabout near Lidl will not be able to during this time, and likewise for those wanting to enter the roundabout from Bridge End Road.
A diversion has been put in taking motorists via the A4311 Cirencester Way to transfer bridge, onto Octotal Way, then the A4312 Drakes Way to Greenbridge Roundabout, up B4006 Swindon Road and then B4143 Bridge End Road and vice versa.
One motorist said: "I wish I had known about this before driving down Bridge End Road from Greenbridge because I ended up having to turn around and go back to Greenbridge and then head up past Tesco.
"It was only a small detour but I never enjoy having to double back on myself."
