Police stopped a wedding car in Swindon and reported the driver in a crackdown on illegal tints.
Officers from one of Wiltshire Police’s road safety teams were patrolling Swindon on Saturday, August 17, ensuring that the tints on cars’ windows and windscreens were compliant with the law.
The legal limit for tinted windows is 70 per cent while for windscreens it is 75 per cent.
Several vehicles were stopped as part of the patrols, including a hired wedding car.
The driver was allegedly discovered to have no insurance and was reported for the offence.
Multiple cars were judged to have illegal tints following inspection, and the owners were subsequently fined.
A spokesperson for the force added: “Road safety team in Swindon yesterday, several illegal tints dealt with, fine and removal.
“Legal limit for side windows is 70 per cent, windscreen 75 per cent.
