A Swindon child rapist been found guilty of 13 sexual offences.
Alexander Franczyk, 58, of Pritchard Close, Kingsdown committed multiple rapes and other sex crimes over nearly seven years between July 2016 and May 2023.
He was found guilty by trial at Winchester Crown Court on August 20 of multiple incidents of rape, one incident of attempted rape, multiple assaults by penetration and multiple sexual assaults.
He previously pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of children and is due to be sentenced for all of these offences on October 22 at the Old Bailey.
Detective Constable Sarah Pollock from Wiltshire Police's Child Abuse Investigation Team said: “I'd like to commend these two young girls who showed incredible bravery at coming forward to report these crimes after suffering several years of abuse.
“This has been a deeply upsetting case and I hope they can now start to rebuild their lives, safe in the knowledge that Franczyk will now face a significant custodial sentence.”
Wiltshire Police encourages victims to report rape or sexual assault as soon as possible.
A spokesperson said: “Even if you’re not 100 per cent sure, Wiltshire Police would sooner hear from you so that we can make sure you’re safe.
“If you’re not ready to talk to the police just yet, that’s OK.”
