Strong winds of up to 40mph have been forecast across Wiltshire amidst several weather warnings elsewhere in the country.
Wind and rain are expected to batter much of Wiltshire during the morning of Thursday, August 22.
Gusts may reach up to 40mph in some parts of the county, including Swindon, Chippenham and Trowbridge.
The Beaufort Wind Scale defines anything 38mph or over as a strong breeze.
The conditions are set to be worst in the morning, between 8pm and 9pm, but winds will remain strong or above moderate throughout much of the day.
Heavy rain has also been forecast until 9pm for a number of towns and is expected to be followed by showers until the afternoon.
The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for rain in Scotland and the northwest, where winds could reach as high as 50mph to 60mph.
While conditions will not be as severe in Wiltshire, residents could still face strong winds while moving around the county.
Advice issued by the Met Office urges those driving in strong winds to travel slowly to minimise the impact, be aware of high sided vehicles or caravans on exposed roads, be cautious when overtaking these vehicles, and give vulnerable motorists more space than usual.
