A restaurant which has attracted good reviews will be closing its doors in the coming months.
Monique's Country Kitchen on Lechlade High Street opened last year and has been praised for its breakfasts and roast dinners.
But a post on the businesses' Facebook page shows that customers will only have a number of weeks left to enjoy the food there due to financial pressures.
The post said: "It is with great sadness that I have decided to close the restaurant. Sadly with high bills, rates and staff bills etc etc etc we haven’t been busy enough to cover these and I have decided to call it a day."
There is good news for those who enjoy the food from Monique's Country Kitchen, because it will continue to offer other services outside of the restaurant.
The post continued: "The outside catering, events, office contracts and bars etc will stay the same and bookings are still being taken, this will not change, we are just solely closing the restaurant side.
"Our last day trading in the restaurant will be October 27 so still plenty of time to enjoy our amazing breakfasts, lunches and roasts.
"We would appreciate your support more than ever until we close. We will do a few pop up nights before we close in the hope you will all help us eat and drink through our stock."
The post concluded by thanking everyone who had been part of the restaurant's journey.
It said: "Thank you everyone who has supported me in this journey at the restaurant and this time it just wasn’t meant to be but glad no one can say I didn’t give it everything I had and worked all the hours god sent. With changes in my own life too I am looking forward to spending more time with my dog and enjoying the events we have coming up for the rest of the year."
Reaction to the news from the public consisted entirely of people praising the business and mentioning how good the food is.
One person said: "I know I have only been in a handful of times but I will really miss you."
Another added: "I’m really sad to hear this, we’ve always had great experiences.
"Be proud of yourself, it’s a hard time for business owners especially in the hospitality industry. You did a great job."
