New toilets could be built on the County Ground sports complex near the town centre for those doing Community Payback.
The applicant to build the lavatory block on land to the north of the cricket ground in the sports complex is The Ministry of Justice.
It says the block, which will house two cubicles each with a lavatory and hand basin is needed for those involved in the community payback scheme run by the probation service.
The Ministry’s application states: “The parcel of land that is subject to this application is currently occupied and managed by the National Probation Service, on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, who run a community pay back garden programme from the site.
“The site is understood to be owned by Swindon Borough Council and leased to the applicant.”
No decision has been made, with a deadline set for mid-October.
