A man in his 30s has been charged following an alleged serious assault at a major motocross event near Swindon.
The incident took place at around 9.15pm on Thursday, August 22, when emergency services were called to the Foxhill motocross event in Upper Wanborough.
A man in his 30s reportedly sustained significant injuries and was taken to hospital, with police initially describing him as being in a “life threatening condition.”
Another man was arrested, and a cordon was established at the scene by officers.
Ben Starr, of Woodside Avenue in Ripley, has since been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
The 34-year-old has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on Saturday, August 24.
The Foxhill venue is currently hosting the Vets Motocross des Nations event across four days, due to finish on Sunday.
