Police have scoured a Swindon recreation ground and several other areas in a search for knives.
Officers from the Stratton, Central North and West Swindon Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted knife sweeps across large parts of the town on Friday, August 23.
This has included a number of public spaces, such as the Mannington Recreation Ground which was searched by PCSO Muhammad and PC Plaister.
The pair also conducted similar sweeps in the Toothill area while PCSO Sahota and PC Cooper searched public spaces in Penhill, Sevenfields and Pinehurst.
The sweeps have come as part of the force’s wider operation to crack down on knives being carried across Swindon and Wiltshire.
Knife amnesty bins have also been installed around the town and people have been urged to use them.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “This has been part of our drive to remove knives from the streets and to provide safer public spaces for our communities.
“Additionally, knives can be surrendered at Gablecross police station and there are knife amnesty bins in the town.
