Police have been waiting for speeding drivers on a busy road in Swindon.
Officers were sent to Akers Way, near St Mary’s Church, on Saturday, August 24, to conduct speed checks.
During their time on the route, which passes Nova Hreod Academy further down the road, officers snared two drivers breaking the speed limit.
Both of these motorists were issued speeding tickets.
Police have been targeting speeding around Wiltshire as it is one of the “fatal five” offences that can increase the likelihood of crashes.
Officers have urged residents to give them feedback on other locations where there are community concerns about speeding.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Earlier today (Saturday, August 24) officers from the Stratton, Central Swindon North and West Swindon Neighbourhoods Team along with our Response colleagues were out completing speed checks on Akers Way.
“Two drivers exceeding the speed limit were dealt with by way of being issued a ticket.
“What other locations do you want to see us out at?”
