Two Swindon pubs are among a raft of businesses that have been handed new food hygiene ratings following inspections.
Both The Waiting Room on Fleet Street and The Steam Railway Co in Old Town were visited by inspectors on August 12 and August 15 respectively.
And both watering holes scored top marks, receiving five-out-of-five ratings for their food hygiene.
Businesses around the town are regularly evaluated based on several criteria, including the handling of food, the cleanliness and the condition of the building and facilities, and the management of food safety.

Other Swindon venues to receive the highest possible rating in recent weeks include the Happy Hub play cafe in Rodbourne and Magic Chippy takeaway on Drove Road.
While five means hygiene ratings are “very good”, four means they are “good.”
Across July and August, newly opened Italian restaurant Grano Lab, on Victoria Road, Smile Thai Cafe & Takeaway at Eastcott Hill, and Ofie Direct Ltd in Bridge Street all received new four-star ratings.
Also receiving a four-out-of-five were Ashford Road Working Men’s Club in Kingshill and Queenstown Social Club on Dudmore Road.
Finally, in July, both Swindon Conservative Club in Old Town and Cuetopia on Bridge Street were rated three-out-of-five, meaning the venues have “generally satisfactory” hygiene standards.
