A motorcyclist has died after crash on a B-road near Swindon on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the B4696 Ashton Road, near Ashton Keynes, shortly before 3pm on August 25 after an incident involving one vehicle.
Despite first aid being administered, the motorcyclist involved, a man in his 60s from Chiseldon, died at the scene.
Wiltshire Police confirmed the motorcyclist's death in a statement released on Monday morning, also confirming that his next of kin had been informed.
"His family are being supported by a specialist trained officer and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time," a spokesperson for the force said.
The road was closed for several hours to allow investigators to attend the scene, first being shut off to motorists at 4pm, and staying closed until at least 10pm.
Police are also looking for any potential witnesses to come forward.
