The latest food hygiene ratings for restaurants, cafés, pubs and takeaways in Swindon have been revealed.

Inspectors visited The Happy Hub café on Rodbourne Road on July 15 and rated it the top score of five out of five, with standards for hygienic food handling and management of food safety being very good and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building deemed good.

Food safety officers also visited Smile Thai Café & Takeaway on Eastcott Hill on July 11 and Grano Lab restaurant in Old Town on August 1 and awarded them a four, determining the hygienic food handling and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building to be good and the management of food safety to be generally satisfactory at both establishments.

Meanwhile, Waiting Room pub on Fleet Street was rated five on August 12, scoring the highest ratings in all three categories.

Ashford Road Working Men’s Club in Kingshill was rated a four overall on July 26, scoring very good on hygienic food handling and generally satisfactory on cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety.

Queenstown Social Club at Queenstown Club in Old Walcot was rated a four on July 25, with officers finding the hygienic food handling and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building to be generally satisfactory and the management of food safety to be very good.

Finally, Chippy Magic Ltd T/A Magic Chippy on Drove Road was visited on July 25 and received a top score of five, with the food safety officer deciding the standards were good in all three categories.
