Motorists in Swindon have been warned to expect delays as four major road closures will be in place over the next fortnight.
National Highways, responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, expect the disruption on the A419 and M4 to cause slight delays of up to 10 minutes when roadworks begin this week.
One lane of the A419 southbound will be closed on the A361 exit slip road in Highworth, from 8pm on August 29 to 6am on August 30.
Work will continue into September on the A419 when the Highworth exit slip road and entry slip road will be closed northbound from 8pm on Monday, September 2 to 6am Tuesday, September 3.
Finally, there will be slight delays on the M4 westbound from junction 16 near Swindon, due to lane closures for electrical works.
These roadworks will be in place from 10pm on Thursday, September 5 to 6am Friday, September 6 with drivers on the motorway facing delays of up to 10 minutes.
