Swindon Paint Fest isn't quite here yet, but already work is starting around town to transform drab spaces into colourful works of art.
The now-annual local event sees some of the best local, national and international street artists descend on Swindon - find a blank bit of wall or building in need of some life - and do their thing.
Pearl Lucia Barcoe has been out and about in the town centre and has captured some of the artists beginning work on their murals.
She said: "Who's excited for this years Swindon Paint Fest? If you have been around the town centre you would have spotted two fantastic murals already underway ahead of next weekend's festival.

The event properly starts on August 31 and Sunday, September 1 with 50 talented artists scheduled to be taking part.
The line-up of events includes live painting all weekend in various locations, a Clothing & Tie Dye workshop, a Body Painting demo and a Spray Can Art workshop, as well as a family fun day at Rudi's Bar and some exhibitions.
