The warm weather and final heatwave of the year is set to return to Wiltshire this week with highs of 26C.
Following a torrential downpour during Storm Lilian over the bank holiday weekend, weather conditions are expected to improve drastically and be more in line with what is expected for the end of August.
This week conditions are expected to be mostly dry with temperatures picking up into the mid-20s, according to the Met Office.
On Wednesday, August 28, we are likely to see maximum temperatures of 24 degrees with some cloud and patchy rain throughout the morning and sunnier spells into the afternoon.
There are likely to be showers on Thursday with highs of 21 degrees, whereas Friday is expected to be drier and sunnier throughout the day.
The weekend is expected to be warm with highs of 24 degrees, plenty of sunshine and a light breeze, with a potential risk of heavy, thundery showers moving up from the south on Saturday.
But the following week will see a heatwave with temperatures likely to reach 26 degrees on Monday, September 2 and Tuesday, September 3 and conditions are set to remain warm into the first weekend of September.
