Roadworks being carried out near a busy Swindon roundabout are creating long queues of traffic.
Swindon Borough Council has shut one lane of Oxford Road between the White Hart and Gablecross roundabouts in order to complete verge vegetation maintenance and remedial work to the road surface.
The work began at 9am on Tuesday and is due to be finished by 4pm on Thursday.
Tailbacks are causing traffic issues on the White Hart roundabout itself as well as on the approaches to the junction near the A419.
More road works are set to start at 9pm on Thursday and last until 6am on Saturday as Swindon Borough Council will close a lane to carry out remedial works to fix the defected carriageway on the A420 Shrivenham Road near Gablecross Police Station.
Further along Oxford Road, near the Greenbridge roundabout, a lane has been closed so that a temporary fix can be put in place by the local authority for a dropped manhole cover on the footpath and cycle path outside number 121.
This work began at 7.30am on Wednesday and is expected to be completed by 7.30am on Thursday.
