Police are searching for a man after four windows were allegedly smashed by rocks during an attack on Swindon Magistrates Court.

The court was reportedly targeted in an incident of criminal damage shortly before 3am on June 7.

Rocks were allegedly used to smash four panes of glass to the front of the building on Princes Street.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they are hoping to speak to in connection with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him has been urged to let officers know.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for your help to identify this man following criminal damage to Swindon Magistrates Court building.

“At approximately 2.50am on June 7, four panes of glass have been smashed using rocks at the front of the building.

“We believe this man may be able to help with our enquiries.
