Artwork by undercover street artist Banksy will appear for a limited time in Swindon's latest showcase.
Banksy first rose to fame in the early 1990s for their trademark spray-painted designs which appeared around Bristol.
Over the years, the hidden artist (whose name comes from the punny nickname 'Robin Banks' that Banksy originally used), has been transformed from a street criminal to an internally-renowed artist.
Oink Gallery in Swindon is now set to showcase Banksy's work alongside other iconic and rising street artists in its September showcase 'Bricks, Blocks and Dots 2'.
Opening on Friday, August 30, the showcase will feature work by local Swindon artist Dario Santos (who created the Covingham underpass mural), Sickboy, Ben Eine and other emerging talents on the street art scene as well as Banksy.
“We are super excited to host such an amazing lineup of artists,” said Mark Pepperall, from Oink Gallery.
“The exhibition is a perfect collaboration with Swindon PaintFest, and it's all about emerging Swindon in street art from the streets to a contemporary gallery setting where we’ve curated a diverse range of works to suit every budget."
Oink Gallery, at 95 Victoria Road, was first founded in 2016 and aims to turn its corner of Swindon into a 'must-see' destination for art enthusiasts around the world.
Tickets for the opening night of the exhibition are free but limited, so visitors are encouraged to book ahead.
