The family of a man who was fatally assaulted at a Foxhill motocross event near Swindon have paid tribute to him.
Lee Starr was assaulted at the annual Wiltshire motocross event during the evening on Thursday, August 22.
Emergency services were called to the event near Wanborough and took Lee to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with significant injuries.
Lee died at the hospital just three days later.
In a moving statement, his family have now paid tribute to "the best dad, husband, grandad, son and friend."
They said: "Words cannot possibly even begin to convey the sense of shock and loss we feel.
"Lee had loads of friends and he was loved by everybody.
"His friends would say ‘Everybody needs a little bit of Lee Starr in their life’. And they did. Lee was wise and always knew how to make things right.
"He was kind and soft, and he was my calm to my chaos. He brought light and joy to anyone who met him and now life will never be the same without him.
"Lee will live on through his three children and granddaughter and the many, many happy memories that have been shared with us."
Lee's family have now asked for privacy as they process their grief.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police added: "Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time - they are being supported by specialist officers.
"The case is now being referred to the Major Crime Investigation Team and enquiries continue."
Ben Starr, 34, of Woodside Avenue, Ripley, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent in connection to the death.
Wiltshire Police previously said Starr was known to the victim.
He appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Saturday, August 24 and has been released on bail until his next appearance in Swindon Crown Court on Friday, September 27.
