A teenager has appeared in court for reportedly injuring a police officer while driving dangerously on an electric motorcycle on a roundabout in Swindon.
Thierry Holness, 18, of Morris Street, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on September 4 after he was charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The teenager had allegedly caused serious injury to a police officer on January 13 while he was driving a Talaria Sting electric motorcycle on Faringdon Road roundabout, but the type of injuries, the severity of the injuries or details about how the incident occurred were not disclosed to the court.
Both the prosecution and defence agreed the matter was too serious to be dealt with at Swindon Magistrates Court and the hearing was adjourned pending trial on Friday, October 4 at Swindon Crown Court.
Holness will be on unconditional bail until his next hearing. During his hearing, Holness chose not to indicate either a guilty or not guilty plea at this stage.
