A Swindon fast food restaurant has asked for permission to change the way it operates.

Swindon Borough Council has received a licensing application from the Burger King branch on Queens Drive, near the Magic Roundabout.

The application requests the grant of a premises licence that would allow staff to serve late night refreshments between 11pm and 5am Monday to Sunday and remain open for 24 hours each day.

Its current opening hours are 9am to 11pm.

Any representations regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing by Licensing Authority, Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler West Floor 5, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH or via email licensing@swindon.gov.uk no later than September 20, 2024, stating the grounds for representation.

The register of Swindon Borough Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the council, given above, from 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday or on the council's website www.swindon.gov.uk

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.

Swindon's only Burger King reopened in June 2023 after much of the building had to be rebuilt and repaired following a large fire in June 2021.
