Plans to transform the iconic buildings fronting a closed town centre brewery into apartments and commercial space will be revealed soon.
The iconic Wadworth Brewery on the corner of Northgate Street and New Park Street closed its doors after the firm transitioned to its new Folly Road facility last year.
Plans are already being considered for the redevelopment of much of the site into a 100-home new build estate.
But this application does not include the historic Grade II listed buildings at the front of the property, stretching from the former White Lion Pub on Northgate Street to the iconic brewery building on New Park Street.
Developer Trevor Osbourne Ltd is now set to reveal its plans for the future of these prominent buildings.
The mixed-use scheme will include the conversion of the upper floors into residential apartments and the creation of a public courtyard behind the main building.

This will be used to access various ground floor commercial and retail spaces.
The firm, which specialises in refurbishing and converting historic buildings, entered into an agreement with Wadworth for the site last year and has since been considering how to “bring new life” to the area.
Along with the architects and planning team from Nash Partnership, they have been drawing up designs for the development which will be revealed in full on Tuesday, September 24.
A public drop-in meeting will be held at the former Wadworth Visitor Centre on New Park Street, between 3pm and 6pm on this date.

This will give residents a chance to voice their views on the scheme before the developer applies for planning permission.
The developer says the showcase is an opportunity to explain to residents how the development of the site has been approached and how it will “bring about effective use of the historic buildings.”

Development director Rob Moore added: “We have been considering how the vacant space within the historic buildings at Wadworth Brewery can be used to revitalise this important part of Devizes and would like to share our proposals and invite comments from residents, before finalising and submitting a planning application.
“Wadworth Brewery is a jewel in the heart of Devizes, and we want to ensure that a future is secured for the site that brings benefit and an added vibrancy to the town.”
The Backhouse-led scheme to deliver 102 homes adjacent to this latest proposal is being considered by Wiltshire Council with a new expected decision date of Friday, October 25.
