A man from Swindon charged with assaulting a teenage girl has appeared in court.

Kevin Wolton, 42, of Doulton Close, pleaded not guilty to sexual assault on a female at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Thursday, September 5.

Ms Prince, prosecuting, told the court the alleged incident occurred on Tuesday, September 3 when Wolton reportedly touched a 14-year-old girl.

He is also charged with breaching a sexual harm prevention order put in place in 2018 for allegedly having unsupervised contact with four female children under the age of 18 without the presence of that child's parent or guardian or an appropriate adult.

The case was adjourned ahead of a hearing at Swindon Crown Court on Friday, October 4 and Wolton was not given bail.
