The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates Court earlier this month.

CRICKLADE: Big Van World, of Chelworth Road, entered no plea but was found guilty in the representative's absence of failing to give information to police when required on April 2, 2024, about the identification of the driver of a Ford who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

The business has been fined £1,000 and ordered to pay £90 in court costs plus £400 to fund victim services.

WALCOT: Callum Hiscock, of Courtenay Road, has been sentenced for three driving offences.

The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Citroen Relay along Whitehill Way on January 27, 2024, when the rear wheel had a tyre that had a lump, bulge or tear caused by the separation or partial failure of its structure, and the grooves of the tread pattern of a tyre fitted to the rear nearside wheel of the vehicle were not of a depth of at least 1.6mm.

At the time, two young children were in the rear of the cab, which had no child seats, and one of them was not wearing a seatbelt.

Hiscock received six penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £223 as well as £90 in court costs plus £89 to fund victim services.

OLD TOWN: Lewis Todd, of Lansdown Road, has been sentenced for a driving offence.

The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen Golf along the A406 Hanger Lane near Beaufort Road at 37mph, which was more than the legal speed limit of 30mph on November 26, 2023.

He received a 14-day driving ban and must pay a fine of £200 as well as £90 in court costs plus £80 to fund victim services.

ELDENE: Manik Sundhir, of Thorne Road, has been sentenced for a vehicular offence.

The 22-year-old drove a Honda Civic along the A360 between the Longbarrow and Stonehenge roundabouts near Amesbury when the front near side wheel and front off side wheels were fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed on October 3, 2023.

He received three penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £261 as well as £90 in court costs plus £104 to fund victim services.

MOTORWAY: Stan Wojas, of Ruardean Hill in Drybrook, Gloucestershire, has been sentenced for a driving offence.

The 44-year-old drove a Mitsubishi Outlander between Junctions 15 and 16 of the M4 without due care and attention on December 3, 2023.

He received five penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £240 as well as £90 in court costs plus £96 to fund victim services.

SWINDON: Matthew Wheeler, of Meriden Walk, has been sentenced for driving offences.

The 29-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a BMW along Cricklade Road in Swindon on December 8, 2023, without a valid licence or insurance when the grooves of the tread pattern of the tyres fitted to the rear offside and rear nearside wheels of the vehicle were not of a depth of at least 1.6mm.

He has been banned from driving for six months, fined a total of £960, and ordered to also pay £90 in court costs plus £385 to fund victim services.

MOREDON: Radoslaw Bak, of Garendon Road, has been sentenced for speeding.

The 45-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Honda along the M4 near Swindon at more than 70mph on January 7, 2024.

He received six penalty points on his driving licence and a fine of £288, and must also pay £90 in court costs plus £115 to fund victim services.
