A long stretch of the A419 has been shut for the entire weekend.
Motorists travelling northbound near Cricklade will not be able to proceed any further along the dual carriageway as it is currently closed to traffic between the B4696 Spine Road (Cerney Wick) to the A429 Burford Road (Cirencester) turn-offs.
The reconstruction and repair roadworks on the eight-kilometre section of the busy main road began at 8pm on Friday and will last until 7am on Monday.
National Highways is responsible for carrying out the work.
As of 9.30am on Saturday morning, traffic is coping well with the obstruction.
