Armed police have arrested four people after a car was stopped in connection with an alleged aggravated burglary.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit, alongside Armed Response Vehicles, stopped a vehicle in Swindon using pre-emptive tactics during the early hours of Monday, September 9.
The stop followed an earlier aggravated burglary that had been reported in Chippenham.
Four people were arrested during the incident and, at the time of writing, remain in custody while a police investigation continues.
A spokesperson for the force said: “RPU and ARV using pre-emptive tactics in Swindon tonight to bring a vehicle to a stop following an earlier aggravated burglary in Chippenham.
“Four in custody with enquiries ongoing.”
