A Swindon-based law firm has been bought out following the retirement of its founder.
RWK Goodman, which is based in Swindon and various other locations in the south of England, has acquired the clients and files of SJ Edney & Co following the retirement of Seamus Edney.
Founded in 1996, SJ Edney & Co has acted for more than 2,150 clients, most of whom have been based in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
Mr Edney said: "For nearly three decades, SJ Edney & Co has been dedicated to providing our clients with personalised, compassionate service.
"As I retire, I take great pride in the firm we’ve built and the relationships we’ve nurtured.
"Entrusting RWK Goodman with our clients was a decision made with their best interests at heart.
"I have full confidence in RWK Goodman’s team to continue delivering the exceptional care and attention our clients deserve, and I am grateful for their commitment to upholding our legacy of trust and excellence."
Paul Rumley, partner at RWK Goodman's clinical negligence division, added: "Our injury division has worked closely with SJ Edney & Co for many years, and we are pleased to be able to build on this relationship by continuing to provide exceptional service to their clients going forward."
