A man already arrested on suspicion of an aggravated burglary in Chippenham has been arrested again for possession of a knife and drugs.
The man was one of four arrested following an aggravated burglary report on September 9,
Wiltshire Police responded to a report that two men had forced their way into a property in Chippenham, threatening the occupants, before leaving in a car.
Roads Policing Unit officers, alongside Armed Response Vehicles, later stopped the vehicle on the M4 with four men aged 29, 21, 23 and 22 arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
Police have revealed that the 22-year-old was further arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession of Class B drugs.
All four are currently in police custody.
At the time of the initial arrests, a police spokesperson said: “RPU and ARV using pre-emptive tactics in Swindon tonight to bring a vehicle to a stop following an earlier aggravated burglary in Chippenham.
“Four in custody with enquiries ongoing.”
